Details have been released of a long-range mission to Libya, conducted by RAF Tornadoes, based in the UK.

Six GR4 aircraft flew the long-distance sorties from RAF Marham in East Anglia, to conduct eight-hour round-trip missions over Libya.

The jets – which took part in the mission on Wednesday night – included aircraft that are primarily based at RAF Lossiemouth in Scotland and were armed with state-of-the-art Storm Shadow missiles.
